   变径直接还有另外一种意思，一种连接装置。用于在阀门与管路（或管路与管路）公称直径不一致时（为省钱或利用现有材料），阀门与管路（或管路与管路）无法通过标准法兰、丝扣直接连接或焊接，这时加一一端能与阀门直接连接另一端能与管路直接连接的种管件（可自制或外购），这种管件俗称“大小头”通过接管改变管径 。
